Volunteers need 1 Pastor reference and 2 other reference forms 

Volunteer opportunities include:

Client Advocate- We’re looking for mature Christian women, at least 25 years old to meet with our clients and their partners one on one. You need to be able to commit to a set day for approximately 4 hours each week or every other week. At least one year commitment is preferred. Training is provided. 

Male Advocates– We’re looking for mature Christian men, at least 25 years old, to come along side of our young men as role models, meeting with them one on one while their partners are with the female advocates.   You need to be committed to serve in an agreed upon time period and commit to serving for at least one year.   Training is provided.

Bilingual Advocates– Seeking advocates who are bilingual for our non-English speaking clients.  Training is provided.

Receptionist– Welcome clients with a smile, answer the phone, help with scheduling and filing, help with mailings, computer data entry, making phone calls, receiving donations and various office work.

Housekeeping– Help keep our building looking great by keeping the inside clean.

Facilities Maintenance– Help with various physical duties such as equipment and facilities repairs, painting, mowing, grounds keeping, and handyman duties.

Church Ambassadors–Promote Alternatives to your church regarding upcoming events and fundraisers. Assist with volunteer recruitment and notify Alternatives’ staff about speaking and promotional opportunities.

Special Events Helper– Help prepare for our fundraising events. Help with event planning and marketing. Have the ability to help set up, assist during the event and help tear down.

Prayer Warrior–  We invite you to pray with us.  Pray in person or at home for the center, it’s clients, staff, volunteers and board.  No application necessary!  For specific prayer requests, call the center.

Garage Help– Organize donations in the garage, take clothes home to wash, sanitize toys, and restock the Caring Connection Closet.

University/College Liaison- Connect us to universities and colleges. Promote Alternatives and it's up-coming events. Assist with volunteer/internship recruitment and notify Alternatives' staff about promotional and speaking opportunities.

Sexual Integrity Educator- Connect with churches, schools and community groups to promote God's plan for sexual integrity.

Board Member- Serve on the governing board that meets monthly.  Be willing to give of your time and resources with each fundraiser or event. Be willing to promote Alternatives in your daily life and assist the executive director in acquiring donors and corporate sponsors from your sphere of influence.  Be open to the guidance and discernment of the Holy Spirit in the leading and direction of the center.
